COPELAND
A group of young musicians, united in the joy of their art. Copeland won the attention of Central Florida's fertile music scene in 2000 with their ambient indie-rock anthems and passionate live performances. Copeland found amazing chemistry with producer Matt Goldman as they recorded 3 songs at his Glow in the Dark studio in Atlanta. In Early 2001, Theory 8 Records released the 3 songs to an extremely receptive public on a split EP alongside 3 songs from glam-rockers, Pacifico.
With a critically acclaimed EP under their belt, Copeland toured the east coast in support of the release. Copeland's music soon caught the attention of Chad and Rory from the Militia Group. After building a friendship with the staff, Copeland chose to join the Militia Group. Copeland returned to the studio in November of 2002 to begin work on their full length, with Matt Goldman at the helm again. The fruits of their labours is a beautiful full-length titled, Beneath Medicine Tree.

PACIFICO
Pacifico is a 4 piece rock and roll band from Atlanta, GA, featuring, Singer/Guitarist: Matt Schwartz, Guitarist: Matt Wells, Bassist: Ben White and Drummer: Joel Walker. Bored with the overly emotional, no frills, no fun, rock is dead attitude of 1999, Pacifico emerged vowing to bring rock music what it has been deprived: The careless abandon of the 80's glam scene and the innocence and originality of the pioneers found in your mother's record collection. Pacifico skips the entire indie rock scene and take their songs to the a whole new level of glam pop ditties, destined to be locked in your brain for days.
Pacifico began working with theory 8 in early 2001 when they teamed up with Copeland to release the brilliant split EP. Delusions of Adequacy comments on Pacifico's side of the split, "It's almost surprising to go into the slightly more punk-rocky Pacifico material, as 'It's Just You' starts with bouncy hooks and 'ba-ba-ba' vocals. Up-beat and poppy with strong guitar work and confident vocals, this is the best Pacifico song here. Multiply is more poppy-punk, hook-laden emo-style rock. Upbeat and fast and ridiculously catchy ("We won't die, we just multiply"), it's a fun song."
Pacifico represent melodic Rock N Roll, oozing with brilliant hooks, tongue in cheek lyrics, and enough rock to kickstart the hearts of any and everyone dedicated to life, liberty and LOUD, LOUD music.
We here at theory 8 wish Pacifico the greatest of luck as they are moving to Los Angeles to further their rock n roll dream. We know it will happen soon and happen big and we can't wait...
